2023 Colorado 2.7 trailboss Ho tune flashed 310hp 430ft lbs stock.

I just bought a 2024 Colorado on Black Friday 2024 and GM dropped the mid sized engine called a Turbo Max Plus, also a 310 HP. The dealers take the Plus and install a $200.00 upgrade to make the 430hp. Then it's called a Turbo Max HO with up to 27 psi of boost. All I got was the 237 hp Turbo Max. I would have liked the Plus as it and the HO can tow 7700 pounds, Mine can only tow 3500. I can do 0-60 in about 8 seconds.
Base price for mine was 36k. For 2026 take the base price and add a 60% tariff and add another $21, 600 and then they will cost $57, 600.00

That thing gets up like my 2011 5.3 z71. Impressive for a 4 cylinder. Just imagine if my 2011 had an HO tune. That think would roast most anything and its a pickup truck.

What gets me is that the FORD RANGER now have an optional 2.7 V6 engine. The same size as the GMC CANYON and CHEVROLET COLORADO but theirs is a Four Cylinder.

These 4 bangers are really neat. They put out a surprising amount of power and torque for auch a small displacement. Turbos sure make a big difference on 4 bangers 😂

What did they charge you for the tune? And what kind of difference did it makes?

I test drove a new AT4X with 310hp and thought something was wrong with it because it was so slow. Maybe in a Colorado/Canyon that doesn't have the ZR2 package it's quick, but I was extremely disappointed.

Had mine scheduled for yesterday dealer ordered the "envelope " Went to pick it up today and was told the ecu will no longer communicate. New Ecu is on the way I have horrible luck.

How is the trailboss Colorado holding up? I’m seriously thinking about getting one for my first truck. I don’t need a full size all I tow is my atvs. Nothing els!

Smaller wheel&tire setup of the trail boss benefits massively from the engine mapping designed to propel 35" true all terrain tire setup - massive increase in sidewall also significant tire width increase. I wouldn't be surprised if this Trailboss with the ZR2 tune routinely went from 0-60mph in under 5.8 seconds.

I got mine the 430# torque calibration and don’t feel a huge difference, hope they gave me what I payed for, is their anyway I can take it to another dealer and verify it was done, I have my receipt!
