In September 2024, parts of the Sahara Desert flooded. But isn't the Sahara supposed to be one of the driest places on Earth? (That's a rhetorical question). So why did this happen? Will it happen again? What does it mean? Maiya May explains

I’m curious what abt the flash floods was particularly damaging if they occurred in sparsely populated regions?

When it rains it pours. When it climate changes, it kills.

They’re making big improvements with teaching natives to build bunds that are free and retain water, making crop land where it was only desertified waste land with distant water sources.

The sahara floods roughly every 500 years it turns green and life restores quickly. This is due to atmospheric rivers
Moving sightly north putting areas that are use to very steady rainfall into a Droubts. As long as the atmospheric river stays in path with the sahara it will continue getting more rainfall and more green

Who doesn't like an oasis in the desert?

The green Sahara is finally coming back and there will be less deserts around the world. Looking forward to the global climate going back to how it was in the Middle Miocene Climatic Optimum

✝ Isaiah 41:18

"I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water."

As the Lord has spoken Isaiah 43:19-21 he gives rivers in the desert, for his chosen. Making a way in the wilderness. These are new things

When we don't treat mother nature with respect she takes her gifts back. In some places she blesses.

Isaiah 41:18-20 KJV
[18] I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. [19] I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: [20] that they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

In the Quran, it says the deserts will return to how they were before, lucious green lands. Crazy how a man who didn’t know how to read was able to predict something over 1500 years later.

Sahara is told of a time it was a cedar forest, recorded even in the Bible how king Solomon cut down every single cedar tree to build his temple to a god and the Sahara has been a desert to this day, an indelible scare on their religious practices
