AB is a tangent, so OB perpendicular on AB.angleOBA=90⁰
If angleBAC is 120⁰, then angle BAO =60⁰ ( tangents drawn from the ext.point are equally inclined to the line segment joining the centre to that point)
Now, in right angle ∆OBA,
By applying trignometry ratio, ,
Cos A =base/hypotenus
Cos 60⁰=AB/OA
1/2=AB/OA
Therefore, AB=2OA

Bcoz angle BOA is a right triangle, so here we apply trignometric ratio Cos 60⁰, perpendicular/ hypotenuse = AB/AO, value of cos 60⁰= 1/2, so 1/2=AB/OA then cross multiply 1×OA = 2AB, HENCE PROVED.
