Based on the fact that parrying lights and deflecting are really hard for some people to do, i decided to combine my knowledge and experience into a 8 min video. I really hope that this helps someone.

Guys, other 2 tips you can use. First one: its quite obvious, but people underestimate this one a lot. Be consistent in hero picking. When you feel comfortable on your hero and got some mixups trained and used - your brain is not spending too much resources to think about how you operate your hero, so it can provide you more resource for keeping attention on your opponent, remembering his patterns, reacting to smth. Second: you can consistently deflect cheeky enemy, that tends to light from one direction or zone a lot. Try to move all the time in the direction you expect him to attack so all you have to do is just press space button for deflect. Also, it makes it easier to parry attacks from other 2 directions since when you're tunnel-visioning your opponent you're already covered one of them and expect attack from it constantly. For example, you play against tiandi that loves to zone and does dodge light from top all the time. You walk in the direction of his zone and ready to deflect in any time on reaction. You got 2 directions left to keep track and since he is more likely to attack from top - you'll more likely to expect it and parry it. Its like increasing your guessing probability from 33% to basicly 50/50. Choosing between 2 options is much easier, than guess 1 to 3 options.

Your biggest advices for me are 2 things:

1. Stop spinning your stick and leave it resting, only move it to the direction of the incoming attack when you need to.

2. Tunnel Vision, this made me do sick outplays and I didn't know why. Hearing that in your video made me realize why.

Thank you so much for this video!

Solid video with some great tips. Even after 15min I can see a massive difference in my reactions. Legit feels like I’m properly using training for the first time.

Mate, I was playing this game in a way that I was focusing on the red indicator that flashed. Yesterday I lost focus and I was kind of like looking behind the enemy character and I could block every single attack that he did. After that I stumbled across your video and you mentioned tunnel vision, mate this is fantastic :D. May you get more subs, have a great day friend.

I was a parry god back in the day I was in a pro team with some of the best, years pass and I lost all my skill. This helps me just shut up my complaining and self doubt and focus up. Thanks man even pros could use your tips

Bro, thanks a lot. Every time I try to parry lights, I'm just moving my guard all the way around with panic and end up eating attack. Your video really helps me, we need more FH youtubers like you.

I am on PC, not a noob and have good fps. Your quick video deifnitely brought soemthing to me. The tunnel vision thing and the "try to block first" are good stuff. I can light parry but I lack consistency so even a noob Kensei's light spam is a challenge for me tbh. And my deflects are always accidental, gotta work on that too.
The mere fact that you use a bot for training is amazing enough for me lol. I never tried it. GG

Usually you hear about tunnel vision as a liability, but here it's a skill to be honed. How refreshing, inspiring even.

Going up after blocking to minimise the direction to block is honestly a huge eye opener thanks man!

Man’s doing hero’s work, I never knew about this controller sensitivity change. I always kept wondering and getting frustrated as to why people were consistently blocking my lights.

3:14 I've started using this after Aramusha and Shaman release. I approve to everyone this works. My method is that put your guard at where the fastest attack is according to your preference. For example Lawbringer top light, then keep your guard on Top, this keeps the enemy to attack at only right and left. Keep practicing. You'll get there

Hadnt played FH in about 2.5 Years, and I mained Lawbringer before I quit, came back hopped on him with 0 warm up, and practically felt right at home, the parrying timer was off a little bit but its comin back, good coverage on the video to explain it clearly

You are an absolutely wonderful creator. You are informative, personable, understandable, and calm. You’ve got an easy voice to listen to and you’re helpful in the way you explain things. Keep it up man!

This is great knowledge to have, I have 30fps, but I can block lights on reaction when focused. I'll use that joystick deadzone tip you showed, I never actually thought of that. Thank you sir, much appreciated.

This kind of training completely changed my For Honor experience!
I played since beta and stopped after jormungandr release. (Had a shit pc with not even 60fps) and came back 3 days ago and with this kind of training I started parrying lights way more often!
Good Video!

Great video, I would also say that anticipation of your opponents moveset is also a great factor in getting more light parries.
