Love the idea of Link running around with a clipboard and pen asking people their occupation

Regarding the "noble shoppers, " it was common for nobility to send their servants to market instead of going themselves. I think that's likely for this population, so they could be considered to be unambiguously employed as servants.

This town has an incredible amount of uniquely designed do-nothing NPCs for a Gamecube game and is very impressive in that way to me

Missed the one dude who clean your shoes (for money) and the people in the shop in front of which he sits. There are also some more Gorons spelling potions and oil (I think) in a semi-hidden building. All are accessible from the main square. Also, Agitha is a child, so she should be 'not eligible'.
Other than that, great vid. Love to see Zelda stuff.

To politely argue, I'd counter that many of the people shopping are probably employed, and not just rich people - particularly the ones holding heavy things. I feel like the wealthier folks would hire servants to do the shopping, especially for heavy things and ingredients, since they probably aren't cooking for themselves. Most of the people walking with just bags probably aren't working.

(I was going to say I don't want to argue, I do because I find this so fascinating and love this series so much it's a lot of fun!!!)

Poorly conducted survey. He missed the fancy shop clerk, the person shining shoes outside the fancy shop, the doctor, and the person running the cafe just to name the ones I can think of on the top of my head.

I love the little edits you do where the employed/unemployed sign is angled to where the person is facing, as well as the elaborate edits of characters standing in front of the sign

Link: "Hyah??"
Castle Town resident: "I don't work"
Link: *Draws sword*
Resident: 'W-which is what I would say if I didn't have a job so it's a good thing that I do!'
Link: *Sheathes sword*

Absolutely love this series. It's such a creative way to interact with a game world and forces you to pay attention to easily missed details of game, which is what your channel is all about.

Hearing Austin say “thank you for your meat” for completely innocent reasons is just good for mental health

I believe the man asking for donations was a priest of Hylia. Also you missed the doctor and Malo Mart Castle Branch which was formerly Chudley's Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium.

You also talk about not fixing infrastructure but repairing the bridge between Castle Town and West Hyrule Field and clearing rubble in South Hyrule Field are plot points.

The fact that these are presented in such a formal and serious manner despite covering fictional video game worlds make these so funny to me. Keep it up!

Would love to see one on Hateno Village from Breath of the Wild. Every villager in that game has a daily routine and a home so you could get insight into their living situations.

Fictional labor statistics is the most surprising addiction I've developed this year

"If you have a dog, cops won't bother you, because they have to call animal control"
is that what we're calling department issued sidearms, now?
