Fun fact, you can also find tingle in Skyward Sword! After getting the clawshot, if you go to the roof of the academy, you'll find a chimney with a chawshot spot insid. Clawshotting inside drops you into Zelda's locked room, where you can find a small Tingle plush on her desk.

I never hated Tingle and hope he makes a return in future games (but more like his friendlier MM debut and not his meaner WW self)

Wow I never realized it, even the mole on Purlo's chin, that's weird but cool. Since Tingle is in Majora's Mask not Ocarina... yeah real Tingle makes sense. Since Termina is either a dream or an alternate world shenanigans, Alice in Wonderland style, Link makes it back to Hyrule, and here's Tingle in the real world many generations later. With Hero of Time becoming Heroes' Shade, either Tingle hadn't been born yet or Purlo could be a descendant or something. Maybe Tingle in a reality where he grew up, not pretending to be a fairy, parallel to WW's adult timeline too where Tingle exists there several generations later like TP, but is his usual delusional self.
