i feel absolutely torn for that little boy. from personal experience, growing up with separated parents will always hurt. he doesn't even know it yet, but there's always so many painful unanswered questions and back and forth. please make his childhood as happy as possible. never let his imagination die out of pettiness. never put your child in the middle of your broken relationship. never make your child choose a parent. make sure that the only he has to cry about for a long time is a scraped knee. proctect his happiness and innocence more than anything; don't let him hurt like i did.
