Sir homework answer is 3 voltage
V(series)=v1 +v2
12v = 9v + v2
v 2 = 12- 9 =3v

Total voltage = 12 ohm
Total voltage=sum of the voltage in the series of the circuit.
12v=9v + V
V= 12v - 9v
V= 3 volts. Ans.

27:00 sir why can't we connect the battary at AC . If we connect we will be getting a different answer that is 50ohms.??

voltage across second resistor = 3V because in series connection voltage across each resistor differs and the sum of the potential differences across the resistors is equal to the total potential difference across the circuit
