It doesnt work, the charging icon is there but no charge is given (gen 1 pods in gen 2 case)

if you have the airpods pro first gen in the 2nd gen case while the case is charging; it will charge the pods.

I’m actually not shocked Apple wouldn’t let you do this but the fact that it loses battery so quickly while in the last gen charging case is hilarious

my gen 1 case broke and there arent any gen 1 cases to buy, so I baught a gen 2 case and now they just cant charge either way

Was thinking of doing this to hopefully get better battery life out of the case. Because the 2s case dies really fast, also I have no use for the extra features it provides. I almost have to charge them every day using at this point (they last about bout 12h total )

I disagree mate! I've just bought an AirPod 2nd Gen and I put my old AirPods (1st Gen) in to the second Gen charging case and they've starts charging.
