I want to insert the social science of Wilhelm Reich into your video, but I can't find the button that will enable me to do that! Reich was Freud's prodigal student who Freud abandoned when Reich declared himself a communist. Reich was a Marxist-psychoanalyst and suffered greatly for being that. I highly recommend you read The Mass Psychology of Fascism, as well as The Invasion of Compulsory Morality. To get a quick yet solid understanding of the ocean of difference between Reich and Freud, I recommend reading a literal transcription of a conversation/interview between Reich and another Reichian psychoanalyst, titled Reich Speaks of Freud. And I almost forgot to say this video is brilliant. Thank you, Emerican!

Objects like the ocean don't exist though, it's such a loose collection of ideas, for example are reefs a part of this ocean. Object? Sand? Fish? Algae? Kind of starts to stretch it's simple definition of a large body of salt water, into so much more that it's objectivity is sacrificed.

Really good stuff, EJ! Kind of a shame I'm just watching it almost a year later, but better late than never.
I do have to say, though, that 14:22 is a little funny and ironic in ways. He himself played into the strengthening of rightist cultural hegemony. This isn't a criticism of the video at all, but he was basically an anti-communist propagandist (and informed for the British government, and potentially US as well, iirc?)
