In this video I will be installing and looking around StormOS. StormOS is created by a group of people within the Linux circles who's names you can find on the SourceForge page, linked below, created to be a beginner friendly distro with a goal of attracting new users over to the world of Arch Linux, it features the XFCE desktop, also has a download for KDE Plasma desktop as well. It provides the following:
Pamac Package Manager,
Yay AUR helper,
Easy to use Calamares Installer,
Plenty of Apps for a fun user experience,
Shell Scripts which eases the user into the world of Arch,
Aliases within the .bashrc file which helps simplify Arch commands within the Terminal.

Hope you enjoy the video.

Nice, detailed look at StormOS. The netinstall module of Calamares is setup by the distro builder, so all those apps listed to install are just a list that can be edited and things like Steam and VLC could be removed from the netinstall module list.

Thanks Colin's for the look. I know Ben will be happy for the video! So us blokes in the Linux circle should know Ben... LOL Funny stuff!
I did not know that so many folks were working on it. I know that Eznix and Silent Robot was helping but that is a bunch of folks...
It sure has come along way in the last year for sure. I kinda like the glow edge thing too! An people say XFce looks dated. I like the looks of the...

G’day mate,

Mpd is a music daemon for music players like ncmpcpp.

Ncmpcpp is a text music player. Archcraft (open box and bspwm arch Linux distribution) use them to display a music widget on their top bar/panel.

Just run reflect to update mirrors in storm os or reflector on any good arch distribution.

So your name is Phil Colin Brash?

Ben and company have done a good job with StornOS. Reviews like this should be very helpful for StormOS, as long as there is no more singing. I want you to know that about 10 seconds after your singing(?) YouTube came up with an error and refused to play until I restarted the video, of course after the singing. At least you sing better than I do. I used to sing professionally back in the 70's but I think they paid me to quit singing.

heya collin, the grub theme is a issue in virtualbox where it doesn't scale properly. The wallpapers i tried to set correctly but to fix it you just hit other, backgrounds, stormos. I will probably remove vlc, steam, and telegram from the installer next iso as they're already in the os. Thanks for your video mate.

The quick look does not inspire me to use this distro and has diluted my opinion for all Arch based distros
