The best advice I ever got was, "never say you will start tomorrow. Start today, right this minute, stop what you are doing, and do it now.
Every second you stop and "plan" how you will do it tomorrow, your brain will take the same time to find an excuse to delay.

A little over a year ago, me and my boyfriend decided to say to each other "I'm moving forward" when we are working on our solo projects. Not having your mind set in the goal (that seems unreachable) but in the action/task itself is so rewarding.
You might not see a huge difference but you know in fact that YOU DID SOMETHING. That really has helped me stay motivated and passionate about my projects.

I felt this recently. Just remember that all the time, events and mistakes have culminated into making you who you are now. If you hate yourself, you're still alive, at the very least.

Rather than imagining "how great life _should_ be if I start now, otherwise it's not gonna worth it", just start doing things that's possible for now. Even if it may not be as great as you'd hope it would be in two years, you might will regret less.

Absolutely. I started posting my music online like two months ago as a hobby and am slowly overcoming the fear that comes with that. Some of it isn't the best and I wanna improve, but holding my self accountable by finishing music and putting it out is rapidly accelerating that growth. Thanks Dr K!

i started 2 weeks ago. I made myself do things that I thought were small but have already changed my life. I adore your smallform content. As somebody that has constantly struggled with extreme anxiety I legitimately feel happier than ever.

Did that with art. Had wanted to be an artist and learn art for a while and then one day I decided to just do it and draw something every day. Most of the time, I'm not gonna lie, it's something small and stupid and often bad but I'm coming close to a full year of doing this and I have improved so much, over the months... It's one of the few things I am proud of

I did very little at the gym for a long time. Sometimes 1 low intensity class a week, and some months where I didn’t go at all. I felt like I was barely hanging onto life, but I knew even 1 class was better than nothing. Very gradually this evolved. Now a few years later, I love the gym! I go around 5 days a week, do a wide range of classes, and am training for a half marathon. It’s improved my mental health so much. So glad I started small and persevered.

Absolutely! And after you have done 'not enough' and continue doing 'not enough' you reach a point when you say I did enough I tried my best and that pushes u to continuously keep doing things and putting effort.. it becomes a habit and that's exactly where you need to be.

pretty proud to say this is something I've figured out on my own, always was the type of person who was constantly hopping from one thing to the next with no real goal or purpose and then complaining how nothing ever changes and I always come back to 0. But now I've committed to a few things and even though I sometimes feel like it's too late and I should've have started when I was younger, I try to suppress those thoughts and tell myself, imagine where you'll be in 2 years from now if you keep this up consistently. It works
