Just a heads up, you really need to watch 1080 or higher to see on a phone.

That was unreal! I was expecting at most a gentle breeze, not the tremendous sound and low pressure condensation! I'm super tempted to hop in my car and head out to our local intercontinental airport for a listen.

It would be great if you copied and pasted your further description from the comments section to the general video description, though.

Somewhere on YT is a 757 wake turbulence where you can hear it as it nears the ground popping and whistling.

That is a really good visual, Lou. There are plenty of stories about being caught up in the rough air behind you gents.

whoa that sound! at what altitude is the 777 flying? as a sound mixer i would love to go out by a airport and record that. Is the wake always going down to ground level??

Great video. The trees bending on centre left just before your arrows appear shows how powerful the wake vortex was. I experienced this at Gatwick, UK, many years ago, spotting from the fields to the west of the airport and the weird whip crack noise from the vortex passing was amazing, and that was from a 737 400.

That’s a cool footage to actually see the wake turbulence.

Cool to be able to see these at ground level!

WOW! Those swirls look absolutely menacing! it would be interesting to know how far this location is away from the touchdown point or the runway threshold and how much time has passed since the T7 passed overhead.

Cool capture Lou!! DCA is a good spot to "experience" wakies. Also the end of the runway when the Blues practice at NAF El Centro!!

Wow. So, you didn't add sound effects? That's crazy. I had to view full screen to see the streamers and trees move. I had no idea this was a thing.

Yeah at 0:48 on the left easier to see like a ghost wisp it contrasts with the dark trees clearly.

Heard that familiar sound of the wake vortex at 0:48 in St Maarten after the planes landed.

Great videos! You should do a video on how you go into aviation and planes. Keep up the good work!
