Top 10 Tips for Solo Motorcycle Touring in Norway

These are my top 10 tips I wish I knew before I started my journey from Ireland to Nordkapp in 10 Days. I have toured on my Harley Road King motorcycle solo around Norway from Kristiansand to Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, Lofoten and across the Arctic Circle to Alta and Nord Cape.

Your advice to give yourself enough time is spot on.
Last August I spent 6days just on northern Norway and did not even get to Nordkapp or Lofoten Islands.
It just means that I need to go back :)

A way to avoid extra expensive ferry fees in Norway. Many people travel by motorbike in Norway and nowadays there is no charge on the ferries. Instead, you must either have an Autopass and pay via it (for those who travel a lot/commute in Norway) or pay for individual trips via FerryPay.

Great tips. Tunnels are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Another tunnel Hint: don’t wear sunglasses or permanently tinted visors.
