I read Tom's book My Big Toe almost 15 years ago, and til this day I have not found as comprehensive model of reality as his. If Tom's book is true, it means you could give it to an alien in an alternate dimension and it would have value to them in describing there physics. It such a big picture view, it not only encompasses our universe, but applies to the entire multi-verse and beyond!

Over the years I have learned so much from Tom. The most important of which is to not be caught in belief traps and to always be an open minded skeptic.

I've learned that to truly understand deep truths, if you're not an open minded skeptic, you will most certainly find yourself right smack dab in the middle of a belief trap.

Omg i love Tom. He really puts an engineering spin on the concepts and descriptions of the universe/conciousness system. Plus some psi mixed in. Fascinating stuff.

I love your work, Curt. This channel is one of the best on YouTube.

Tom's theory is unusual only insofar as the change in perception it brings to practitioners of his method.

The Western scientific paradigm is that the physical is real and the "non-physical" is not. What Tom demonstrates is that it's actually the opposite. Objective reality's origin is in subjective reality. At it's fundamental level, objective reality isn't real. Scientists have known this for over 100 years, but refuse to acknowledge this fact.

The primary problem is that the consciousness that creates all of this is immaterial. The scientific method in it's current form isn't built for this. Consciousness isn't falsifiable.

Reality is a paradox. The electron cloud blinks in and out of existence. As Chan and then Zen says, "form is emptiness, emptiness is form". This has to be directly experienced. Speculation only takes us so far.

The other problem is that scientists use things that aren't fundamentally real, to prove reality. Empiricism falls apart under close inspection.

Hopefully Tom's experiments will solve this conundrum. Cheers!

Thank you Curt.
You are the best interviewer.
Also all the people you talk to are worth listening to.
I learn a lot even though I don't necessarily agree with all your guests.
Tom's ideas are compatible with mine: Advaita Vedanta .
Tat Tuam Asi.

Yes, I am over 70, and I remember program coding for computers back in the day before there were any personal computers!

Any time I see Tom's face on a vid I know I'm going to learn something when I watch him.

The saying about belief is such a relief for me. I was never able to totally believe in anything, not even in what he is saying. From all the “truths” out there, his is the one that stands with me more often. It’s a real contort.

I think a talk between Thomas Campbell and Chris Langan on the Theories of Everything podcast would be great.

Thank you! I could tell it better! More than agree!!

Generally speaking, what Tom says simply makes a whole lot of sense. He presupposes very little, and then manages to logically derives very convincing explanations for pretty much everything you can think of.

2 x speed for this podcast. Thomas is so articulate and detailed with his own subjective TOE beliefs.

interesting interview.
how would someone like me share with you a hypothesis for TOE and other ideas on fundamentals?

You should try get Terence Howard on! I’m not sure I believe he’s not nuts, but I’m also not sure he isn’t. Would love to see you navigate his mind. Love the show

Here are some novel ideas, equations, and algorithms that advocate for the primacy of zero (0) and dimensionlessness (0D) over non-zero numbers (1, 2, 3 and 4, etc.) and non-zero dimensions (1D, 2D, 3D and 4D, etc.) while striving for non-contradiction:

1. The Zero-Point Field: In quantum field theory, the zero-point field is the lowest possible energy state of a quantum system. It suggests that even in the absence of matter or energy, there is still a fundamental, irreducible ground state that underlies all physical phenomena. This idea highlights the primacy of the zero-point as the foundation for all non-zero energy states.

2. Null Basis Vectors: In linear algebra, the null space of a matrix is the set of all vectors that yield zero when the matrix is applied to them. By focusing on the null space and null basis vectors, we can uncover fundamental properties of a linear system that are independent of its non-zero components. This approach emphasizes the importance of the zero vector in understanding the underlying structure of a matrix.

3. Infinitesimal Calculus: In non-standard analysis, infinitesimals are numbers that are smaller than any positive real number but greater than zero. By using infinitesimals, we can develop a calculus that is not based on limits or the concept of zero as a single point, but rather as a hyperreal number that is infinitely close to zero. This approach avoids some of the contradictions and paradoxes that arise in standard calculus, such as division by zero or the nature of infinitesimals.

4. Dimensionless Physical Constants: In physics, there are several dimensionless constants, such as the fine-structure constant (α ≈ 1/137) or the proton-to-electron mass ratio (μ ≈ 1836), that are independent of the choice of units. These constants highlight the fundamental relationships between physical quantities that are not dependent on arbitrary dimensional scales. By focusing on dimensionless constants, we can uncover the intrinsic properties of physical systems that are not contingent upon non-zero dimensions.

5. Topological Invariants: In topology, invariants are properties of a topological space that remain unchanged under continuous deformations or transformations. Many topological invariants, such as the Euler characteristic or the Betti numbers, are defined in terms of the connectivity and holes of a space, rather than its specific geometry or dimensions. By emphasizing topological invariants, we can capture the essential features of a space that are independent of its non-zero dimensional structure.

6. Information Entropy: In information theory, entropy is a measure of the uncertainty or randomness in a system. The concept of zero entropy corresponds to a state of perfect order or predictability, while non-zero entropy indicates the presence of disorder or information content. By focusing on the zero entropy state as a fundamental reference point, we can develop a theory of information that is grounded in the absence of disorder, rather than its presence.

7. Fourier Transform at Zero Frequency: In signal processing, the Fourier transform is used to decompose a signal into its frequency components. The value of the Fourier transform at zero frequency corresponds to the average or DC component of the signal, which represents its overall offset or baseline. By emphasizing the zero-frequency component, we can capture the fundamental level or background of a signal, independent of its non-zero frequency variations.

These are just a few examples of how the concepts of zero and dimensionlessness can be emphasized and utilized in various fields of mathematics, physics, and information theory. By focusing on the primacy of zero and the intrinsic properties that are independent of non-zero numbers or dimensions, we can develop novel and non-contradictory frameworks that capture the essential features of complex systems and phenomena.

I had a psychedelic experience once where I just started to see a torus shape with energy coming out each pole and going around the torus to the opposite pole, it happened when I was listening to music and focused inward, it seemed very significant at the time, and I have seen the torus expressed in the work of some theorists.
