In the latest Ultimate Rugby Challenge, South Africa fly-half and Rugby World Cup 2023 winner Manie Libbok looks to see if he can add another accolade to his collection and break the world record for the longest drop goal!

Despite not attempting a drop goal during the World Cup out in France, Libbok will first try to see if he can better England stand-off George Ford's 45m attempt that he slotted in a windy AJ Bell stadium in Manchester, with the help of his Sale Sharks teammate, Gus Warr. If Libbok can manage to beat Ford, he will then attempt to break the world record, which is a HUGE 77m!

People forget that Frans Steyn kicked a 270m drop kick blind folded when he was 12 at sea level.

Manie brought a different style of play to the Springboks. Much Respect for him

Frans Steyn kicked >60m drop goal when playing in France. It cleared the bar with so much room he had the leg to hit from the opponent's 22.

People forget that Frans Steyn kicked a 1000m drop goal, while eating a poloni sandwich, watching carte blanche and with both feet tied behind his back

These players look really happy. I just wish Hershel can find the form again that he had a couple of years ago.

Love Manie. He is the future. I hope he learns a lot from Pollard.

People forget that Handre did not play that well himself in 2019. But he matured a lot the past four years. Manie will develop, as well.

Good effort, I'm still impressed by the old Scott Quinnell crossbar challenge where he'd casually stand at half way, pick up a ball in his hand and throw it over the bar.

Cheslin Kolbe did a 50 Metre drop goal for Tolouse

Frik Du Preez did a drop kick in the early 1970's of 60 metres with a heavier ball

You guys need to check your facts. The longest drop kick is 77.7m by Springbok Gerry Brand in a test at Twickenham in 1932..with a wet heavy leather ball.

Nice video but when I read the comments I'm deeply disappointed ouens! Come on now! We all know that Frans was a yster in his days and did his part for the boks but Manie brought something else, something that Frans did not have in his arsenal. Frans retired and it's time to move on. I love both of them and remember we all support one team, no need to hate. Oh yes so by the way, it is so nice to see my favourite scrummy Mr Jantjies in action. I still believe you are the best my bru it will just take some time for them realise it, they don't know what we know! Lekke boyz!! 💪

Great kick no doubt but on the high veld in bright sunshine is a bit different to a grey windy wet day in Manchester
