Labor decides to ‘seize’ on Peter Dutton to ‘detract attention’ away from renewable failures

Menzies Research Centre senior fellow Nick Cater claims Labor knows they are in “big trouble” with their commitment to renewable energy.

“It is putting upward pressure on power prices,” Mr Cater said.

“They’re in real trouble on this and I think they’ve just seized on Peter Dutton’s sensible announcement on nuclear just to try and detract attention.”

The cheapest electrical power generation fuel is coal, and despite having literally 100's of years of coal available, Albo and Blackout are fixated on the two most expensive, unreliable choices. Coal must be reinstated in Australia immediately, and remain as the primary source of baseload power, backed up by gas. Then Australia must start building nuclear power plants and only take coal offline as nuclear power plants come online to replace them. Wind farms and solar farms need to be scrapped entirely. Existing rooftop solar on homes and businesses, with battery backup across the nation, needs a complete rethink as this has huge potential to reduce demand (in a meaningful way) on existing supply networks.

Albo needs to lose the Akubra, it's not appropriate. Albo knows Bowen's part-time power is not the solution but he's not prepared to agree with anything the Coalition may put forward. He also will not look at coal and gas as a solution even though many countries have decided that is the cheapest and most efficient solution and we have vast reserves of both . Albo is a one horse jockey. He rode the voice to parliament into the ground and he has nothing let to give Australia except financial pain - inflated prices for electricity and fuel, housing both rented or mortgaged being more difficult to obtain let alone retain and high levels of immigration when we should be looking at net zero on that.make Albo and his clowns, the disgraceful Greens, the useless Teals and those self serving Independents go away.
