Nexus 3, the long-awaited update to the very popular VST FINALLY dropped last Friday. If you've been producing for a bit then chances are that you've heard of Nexus because for a while it was the go-to VST for most electronic and urban producers.

Now although reFX, Nexus' parent company, although they've released expansions with new presets over the years, we haven't seen a full VST update in well over a decade.

I used to use Nexus A LOT when I started producing so I decided to upgrade my Nexus and today I want to walk you through this new version and give you my overall thoughts. Enjoy!

It’s great for those whom do not already own Nexus2. You definitely need to buy the expansions for sure or you end up with the original sounds

Great Vid Ivan! I bought Nexus 3 and love it!! I've heard some producer that have nexus 2 have some issues with nexus 3 but as someone that is new to nexus i love it!.... Thanks for sharing some of the dope sounds!

Thank you for the Video, but you forget to mention one very important fact about Nexus 3.
Nexus 3 licensing turn out to be a simply customer fraud (NO perpetual license at all).
You pay for a perpetual license, but you get only a one-month valid "subscription" license.
You have to be at less once a month online to renew the license, or Nexus 3 will STOP working!
Such strong dependence on the manufacturer & being online are for me absolutely unacceptable!

Hey, when you buy Nexus 3 do you get only the factory presets and rom extension "packs" or more ? I see lots of "packs" listed but Im unsusre what comes with the starter version

way too expensive. the price doesnt reflect what you gt, compared to the competition. dont get me wrong, its not bad although most sounds are mediocre, but its not $$$ good. they are way better and more priceworth alternatives out there.

Do you honestly have to pay $99 to upgrade the skin with keys to get “NO” other skin options like NEXUS 2 has....?!?!? (Cuz it Seems like that’s all you’re really getting or not getting)

Really dated sounds. You'll get this type of sounds in any other vst.. try Synthmaster..
