Also when people say let them be bored all I see if my daughter destroying my makeup, cracking all the eggs on the floor, her and my oldest fighting, my oldest tormenting her until it gets very physical and their screaming. Literally my kids don't do "normal independent play" it's always just INSANE. They are destroying my stuff, ripping my house apart getting into everything that is not for them.bim slowly putting locks on everything that isn't theirs, and even their closet bc I'm tired of all their cloths getting tore completely out. 🤦‍♀️ I just can't ever get anything done every 5 minutes their fighting or into everything or need something it's like impossible to get anything done with my business I'm always having to stop and clean

I'm really finally ready to limit screen time for my kids (5 and 10)! But my issue is in the afternoons when im working from home and my kids get home from school, they usually watch screens while im still working and getting my husband on board with limited screen time

Hey! Thank you for the amazing video. I have always allowed free screen time. My daughter recently turned 8, and I’ve noticed my daughter’s grades and behavior have been in decline. I am planning to tell her after school that we as a family are going to be implementing new rules for screen time. Would you mind elaborating a little with tips for how to explain my plans to limit screen time, without making her feel she’s being punished? Im hoping that since we are all going to cut back on screens, it will help, but I know it’s a major transition to go from limitless screen time to very limited screen time. I want her to understand why I’m making the decision and that I’m not punishing her, so much as trying to help. Her age group is harder to talk to, because they are independent and want their voices heard. I guess what I’m really asking is how to be stern and confident without making her feel attacked.

Will this work for a 2 yr old who is obsessed!!?? He doesn't only dictate when to watch but even what to watch! I have ADHD and cannot take his tantrums so I give in, its bad.

Do you have any tips where a lot of schools are doing virtual sessions and independent work on websites and apps. How to help them stay engaged? Even though it is educational, can the excessive screen time still cause issues? I know this is new territory for many but I’m definitely curious as to how to support my child through virtual sessions especially when she tries to avoid and say she hates it.

I read ebooks and audiobooks though? I also take courses and do alot of research. It's just cheaper then buying the books I want to get them online free most of the time. Or youtube for educational purposes I don't watch much entertainment stuff.

this really causes problems. we blame that on technology. i don't understand how they can have an iphone 12, 13 or 14. this is crazy. i get my son to go to library and etc.
