Otis Scenic Traction Elevators at Iberostar Resort, Cancun

[Recorded March 2012] Update: These are NOT Mitsubishi elevators, even if they do look and sound like them. These are actually branded by Otis. I've seen this setup at another hotel (it's called the Vallarta Palace in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico) and they also had Otis logos.

It's not like me to get nostalgic over elevators, but this property really did the trick (if you couldn't tell by the length of the video). I stayed here in the 90's when it was Caesar Park, in the 00's when it was the Hilton, and now in the 10's under the Iberostar name. I don't even know how many times I've stayed here, but I remember having a lot of fun on these elevators when I was REALLY young. They are OTIS elevators. I have ridden them in the Emirates. The chime for going down sounds like Mitsubishi, but they are OTIS.

Watched this video again, I'd say these are 1990s Japanese OTIS elevators (probably Spec 90) made by Nippon OTIS and imported straight from Japan, due to the flashing arrow on the indicator, button beep and "Mitsubishi" chimes. I've seen a few OTIS elevators like these before in Japan and in my home country.

Yup, these are definitely Otis, I recognise the indicator, and the buttons are an Otis variant of the Mitsubishi buttons

The chime is from XIZI Otis, and the buttons. They are very common in China. Specifically, Guangzhou.
