Contrary to the more objective reporting of the first documentary film, "At the Side of Bruno Gröning" shows a much more private level. Through the eyes of an initially distrustful critic who became a healed person and later a close associate, the film shows the person Bruno Gröning and the miraculous experiences that the Carinthian teacher Grete Häusler, née Holzbauer, had at his side between 1950 and 1959.

The 105 minute, entertaining mix of interviews, acted scenes and footage from the 1950s tells of the experiences of a Carinthian teacher with an extraordinary man.
