The words might say a lot, but they’re different meaning Miley’s is about herself and how she realizes with the confidence she doesn’t need anybody right now and the other song is what he should have done so to me they’re different I love both of them

It was special in her marriage and after her divorce she used some of the lyrics of the song in her song to express that It was completely over
She didn’t steal his song because she only used lyrics which are one of the many parts that make a song
The rhythm and the beat of the song are completely different

“Pretty similar lyrics” is a stretch.The two songs might have the word “flowers” But the whole song is from a totally different POV. One a man relenting about a past relationship “I should have brought you flowers” to a woman totally lifting herself out of that pity part, and moving on with “I can buy me flowers” In fact very few words in common, so hardly “stolen”.
