Sebastian "Bas" Rutten (born 24 February 1965) is a Dutch–American actor, retired mixed martial artist, kickboxer and professional wrestler. He was a UFC Heavyweight Champion, a three-time King of Pancrase world champion, and finished his career on a 22 fight unbeaten streak (21 wins, 1 draw). FightMetric wrote this when Rutten got inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame: "FightMetric, the official statistics provider for the UFC, ran the numbers on Rutten's career. Watching this showed me that Ken Shamrock and his brother are very good wrestlers. I am suprised with how fluidly they both transition while grappling. This was fun to watch.

I knew Ken Shamrock was a strong, tough man, but I honestly had never seen him be as technically proficient and masterful as in his two fights with Bas Ruten. Bas Ruten was not the type of guy I would have put the odds against in a fight against Ken Shamrock, yet he was thoroughly unraveled twice by Ken. Both these guys are MMA legends!
