The attention to small details to legal jargon, combat, augments, and military are very nice. Even the politics are well thought out

Snipers have to read wind and to A lesser degree air pressure and adjust for altitude. How much of that data A satellite could give you is questionable. A drone swarm spread over distance would work better, but at that point you may as well arm the drones.

Now, imagine, an artilleryman and a fighter pilot also had this capability. Granted that they can use the satellite with their respective machines, they would be deadly.

GitS gets a pass on this because drones weren’t widespread yet. A satellite realistically for real time information on such a small area would be extremely limited due to how fast it would pass over that axis of the Earth. A few drones however could loiter at altitude and give a true continuous feed of information. Either way it’s cool as hell.

In the future we could just give a sniper heads up gear with all that intell on there like a pilot helmet

Even a brain connection to the gun would help, by not having to pull the trigger you can have a more steady aim.
Add cyber lungs or oxygen tanks and you can remove the uncertainty of breathing as well.
