I watch all the Efren Reyes games I can find, I can't be in his head, so I don't know, but I swear it looks like pressure doesn't bother him, it looks like it elevates his game, the guy is really smooth and calm

The interesting thing with Reyes, he's never had the best break shot, doesnt have the explosive cue power of some players (same as O'Sullivan), and rarely plays jump shots which have become so common now. His cue action, you probably wouldnt teach to new players. But no one in all cue sports has his knowledge around the table, knowledge of angles, cue ball control. At his peak it was like he was picking up the ball and placing it every time. His flow round the table was like watching honey drip from a spoon. So effortless.

His 9 ball fame overshadows his mastery in less popular billiard forms, and he is a very decent snooker player too (not common amongst pool players). While other players have had their moments in various disciplines, and Ronnie would be undisputed GOAT of snooker, its hard to put someone ahead of Reyes for greatest cue sports player ever.

I have seen thousands of matches both live and on video and have even had the honor of playing against 3 time Nine ball champion Nick Varner back in the early 80s and I've never seen anyone who shoots like Efren "The Magician"!
