I had a stressful Christmas holidays. On the final day and 4 hour drive home I felt extreme tightness twisting to one side. Sensations were a 8/10. I remained calm, said it’s just PDP and continued my life. It was a testing 1.5 weeks but I never let it get me down. No physio no massage no foam rolling zero sensations in that area now- I’m back to training 5 days a week again. I would tell myself that a drive home doesn’t cause extreme pain I’m not fragile. As you say Dan the fire alarm is blaring but there’s no fire. With each passing day I pushed the twisting movement just a little more knowing this is PDP. I don’t care brain we are training and YOU are coming along for this ride. I don’t need this level of protection I’m capable enough. Can and will!!!!

When I used to have a flare up of symptoms (especially after a few good days) it would frustrate and depress me so much and I’d think I was back to square one. Now I know what to do (thanks Dan) I’ve noticed the flares doesn’t last as long and this gives me confidence that I’m going in the right direction.

I had a flare-up last Friday and have spent the week very mindful indeed.

I've been about 90% better from chronic pain. This week my pain has returned. Thankfully, I watched this video. I know what to do, yes, I've "freaked out" but, not as badly, and will carry on. THANK YOU Dan!! I needed this video.

When I try and resume "exercise" & I mean nothing strenuous lol always followed by what feels like extreme pain, I mean literally almost bedridden. My family say I need to warm up better, even warming up did the same. Had Never put the "perceived danger " label to this before. Sometimes we mustn't actually hear or absorb all the info you give us, maybe it's me lol but this part of today's message was a lightbulb moment! Took myself into the park and increased the walking distance by a bit. Felt a bit short of breath ( I'm a quick walker) wanted to leave. Talked to myself. It's TMS & also realised I'd had left the house with unresolved differences with partner, carried over from yesterday, & straight away pain in my head n joints. Made myself stay a bit longer before heading back to the car to listen to today's message.

I'm glad I found your YouTube channel. This video was very helpful. I had Sciatica (really TMS) in 2010. I was in the midst of physical therapy which did no good, and started reading Dr. Sarno's books. I read Healing Back Pain and The Mind Body Prescription. I thought nothing is getting any better, so I called a psychologist who worked with Sarno's methods. She said that she wanted me to read the Divided Mind by Sarno before I came in to talk to her. I did, and I totally understood and accepted what was going on and just by reading that book, my pain went away I never saw the psychogist. Having said that, here it is 2023 and I got laid off after 25 years with the same company. The sciatica (TMS) came back worse than ever. I think what helped me get over it the first time was understanding and accepting that it was only TMS. It helped by reading and listening to case studies and knowing that you are not alone.

This video was incredible. Please keep telling more about your personal journey when you can - it makes the struggle seem less impossible! What you said spoke directly to my most recent TMS pain - it came a day after a workout. I jumped to ‘oh no!’ When I should’ve said ‘hey, you might still be in muscle fatigue and recovery’. Thanks for pointing that out! Just made a YouTube therapy donation to you Dan at your email address. Thanks 🙏🏻

Need this video right now. I've been having the worst pain flare up for two weeks. I'm in a constant state of pain and anxiety and can't get out of it. It's been 8 years of this chronic pain and other pain the years before that. Love your videos, Dan (and your cat!).

What timing, this just happened to me yesterday. For 10 minutes I was stuck in the kitchen. My first thought was my band is playing tonight, what am I gonna do. Second thought was oh wait, placed my awareness on my breath and went from fear to a sort of fascination with this TMS thing which was a sort of calling out I suppose. In 10 min the pain deminished to the point I could keep loading my guitars ECT. In about half an hour the pain was history. I pretty much did what you said in this vid, I've heard you say this stuff before in different ways. Thanks Dan !

Bam a lam! Watch the daily videos but this popped up-phone must have heard me saying flare up flare up so youtube recommended this one. YAY! BINGO! Working on curing the TMS just a few months-walked a switchback/ incline -not super long but not used to it anymore. Mtn top was spectacular! 12 hrs to the hour, once again-out of shape screaming like it's more than that. Pain Free You saves the day! Thank YOU- even tho 10 months later from the original post date! 💃

Thank you for this video. I had TMS for years and then I discovered Sarno's work and my symptoms got dramatically better. I gradually reengaged in all the physical activities I had given up. That was 5 years ago. Since then I've been largely pain free except I would occasionally have back and neck tension at work. Last week I had a minor virus infection and along with the sore throat I had some forearm tightness. The sore throat went away in a day but the tension in my forearms got worse. I thought it could be inflammation from the virus. So I got an appointment with a practitioner. She seemed baffled by my condition but prescribed me some steroids. I took the steroids and ibuprofen for a day but I didn't help. It was then that I realized I had been tricked. There was no inflammation in my hands and forearms. It was TMS. It's now been a day since I fully believed what's going on is TMS. I do worry that my hand weakness will continue into next week when I'm scheduled to return to work. However, I will try and be patient. 100% believe that it is TMS. I just need to remind myself that it will go away. Be patient.

I have pelvic floor pain in my left side and my symptoms are just like pudendal neuralgia.
I didn’t get diagnosed yet
From last 4 days I have bad flares up by watching you’re few videos my pain is subsided.
I just worry about my future and I am living in so much fear because of pudendal neuralgia.
I hope this will be TMS
Thanks Mr, Dan
