Every 15% Yielding Dividend Stock Analyzed

As 2022 continues to be an extremely volatile year in the stock market, we’ve seen the share price of nearly all dividend and income stocks fall. What’s resulted is many dividend stocks offering substantially higher dividend yields than normal, which represents a great buying opportunity for high quality stocks currently trading at a discount. But some dividend stocks have fallen much more than others over the last year, and as a result we’re seeing some stocks that currently offer investors insanely high yields of over 15% or more. So in todays video I thought It’d be a good idea to briefly look  and examine every stock currently offering a 15% dividend yield or more and see if there’s any great opportunities with any of these companies.

As of the making of this video there’s currently five stocks that are offering investors a 15% dividend yield or higher. Today we’re only gonna be looking at individual stocks, so no ETFs, exchange traded notes, and no preferred shares of stocks. We’re also not gonna be looking at closed end funds, which are really similar to mutual funds that I see people mistake for being stocks all the time. So for example the Cornerstone Strategic Value Fund, ticker CLM and Oxford Lane Capital, ticker OXLC, won’t be on this list because they’re closed end funds. As an additional rule only stocks that have been paying dividends for at least one year are gonna be covered on this list.

Love the video man! All great ways to save money and be able to focus more on the things that actually add value to your life.I’m a dividend investor, my wife and I have invested in the s&p500, both through my TSP with the government and through fidelity in her 401-k. Cashed out 270k from the S&P and invested with a full service broker.. Until about 3years ago we were 100% in the s&p after over 30 years. I’m retiring at the end of the month at 59, while my wife will retire next year at 54. We currently have 6.7 million in out tex deferred savings.

What do you think of PBR and VALE. Each sells at about 3x earnings. Both have been in business for many years. Both are large cap stocks. PBR yields 35% and gets a 9.8 analyst rating. VALE has an 18% yield and a 6.8 analyst rating. Both are in an
etf, ILF, that gives a yield of 11%. These are some of the largest companies in South America.

In Today’s era of volatility, there is no other way but to re-invent. the only sustainable advantage you can have over others is agility, that’s it. Because nothing else is sustainable, everything else you create, somebody else will replicate

Am I the only one that noticed the video of a person looking suicidally at a handful of pills while he was talking about ORC? lol

Sidenote…. JP Morgan’s JEPI and JEPQ Achieved a 9% yield once again with their 2 actively traded low volatility funds. Not a way to get rich but absolutely a great place to park your money and get nice monthly distributions.

I can’t deal with REITS. The real estate market seems way overheated and there isn’t enough blood on the streets to see value there yet.

Throw IEP in a Roth then you dont have to worry. The dividends naturally invest back into the company.

I have a few shares of IEP. I’m down 7% YTD with IEP. A lot better than the overall market. I think I’ll pick up some more shares.

Thank you for the great video! I wonder if you have any thoughts on IVR (20% dividend atm)?

Just buy companies that raise their dividend EVERY year and you will fine you will soon get a large dividend payout on your invested capital. EVERY time a companies stops raising or drops their dividend SELL it. All of these companies that cut their dividend were disasters later on. Raising dividends increase the yield on your purchase price and usually causes the stock price to increase.

IEP looks interesting with a good long track record. I filed my first K-1 with my taxes last yr. Was not that big of a deal, but is new paper work and I paid for it to get done. I believe you file K-1s if you have rental property.
