Only thing he got wrong there is when he said the lines aren’t moving. They are moving, in Russias favour. How can you take a city if the lines aren’t moving?
Last May Russia took Bakhmut, they have just took Marynka and are on verge of conquering Avdeevka.
They told us Mariupol would never fall, it did. They told us Bakhmut would never fall, it did. They said they would have both these cities back within a year, they never. Now their new General is saying Avdeevka will never fall, it will.
Russia grinds on. NATO should negotiate.

While Elon makes thought-provoking points about Russia's military capabilities, I can't help but consider another strategic reason why the US keeps approving billions in Ukraine aid packages - the massive payouts it brings to powerful American weapons manufacturers and in turn, the politicians they finance.

It's reported that for every $1 the US spends on arms exports, these defense contractors donate $0.50 back to Washington in the form of lobbying, jobs and election contributions. So could all this Ukraine aid be less about noble concerns for democracy and more about certain leaders securing self-serving kickbacks?

Makes me wonder if America keeps fueling this proxy war not to strategically undermine Russia as claimed, but to keep the military industrial machine churning profits at the expense of lives abroad. And Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and the policymakers on their payrolls laugh all the way to the bank.

Just a skeptical theory to consider regarding what's prolonging this deadly conflict beyond the surface narratives we're sold. The ulterior motives of war seldom match the marketing slogans of freedom.
