I’m a Marine Veteran. I specialized in special security. This was a big secret service blunder. The area outside the arena was not sterile. They failed to secure it. The counter sniper team missed a gunman on top of a roof 300 meters away? How? If that building was secure why did they not lock it down? Did they just walk away after sterilizing it? I am really looking forward to the House and Senate hearings that will be coming.

The secret service left a close building uncovered. Witnesses saw the shooter climb the building, set up and take some shots. They alerted police but it took a few seconds to respond. I'd like to know why that roof was not covered by secret service.
