i've gotten a pop up that basically opened chrome windows that wouldn't close and used text to speech to tell me that there is a "virus" on my computer. In that case, just unplug your pc and plug it back in. if you are using firefox, be careful because firefox tends to re-open pages that were opened in your last session!

Putting your cursor on the close window button then quickly hitting enter then left clicking gets rid of it.

The part of the equation that actually has the malware/rootkit is the site itself. I've seen this on two different occasions, and I ran a battery of tests thereafter. None of the tests showed any rootkits or malware on my machine.

This just now happened to me, I was locked out, freaked me out. I turned my comp off and let it sit for a bit and then came back in and started searching to see if it was for real and ended up here. :)
