Beta is a measure of the volatility or riskiness of an investment. A beta higher than 1 means that the company has a higher level of volatility than the market, which is usually attributed to it being more sensitive to changes in economic conditions and other external factors. A beta lower than 1 means that its volatile behavior matches with that of the broader market.

So what is Beta?

Beta is a measure of the volatility of an investment in relation to that of the market as a whole.
