I did all the steps 5 times. On the 5th time I went to bed and left my Apple Watch on charge overnight. The next morning I looked at it and it had gotten out of the boot loop and was showing full charge on the normal screen. I then re-paired it to my phone (this was how this issue began in the first place trying to un-pair / re-pair to fix a storage issue glitch) and it’s working perfectly again. Saved me the trip and $$ at Apple! Thank you

Mine hasn’t come back to life. But I am not giving up after reading through the comments. More than anything THANK YOU for being the ONLY person to suggest steps beyond the hard reset! No matter what my outcome is I appreciate the extra tips.

*worked!* Mine was on a boot loop for a week! Couldn’t figure anything out. Came across this video. It took me 4 FULL processes and the freezer finally got it! Have faith keep trying!

To the guy who made this…
I felt like I was going to cry and I did because I work so hard for my Apple Watch Series 6 44 screen and I had thought I had lost it. I search so many videos and non work except yours. When I had done the steps and it didn’t work I went to bed and woke up hopeless then I did the steps again and when I was spamming it and then I charge it I saw the main screen. So I give you a big internet hug and say to you have a good day.

I tried nearly everything. After like 100x i did this and it worked, maybe for someone else too:
Apple Watch 3:
Push both buttons untill reboot (Apple Logo reappear) then click again on the down button (not the crown) and simultaneously touch the screen a few times.
Good Luck

i didn't have my series 7 on for the past three weeks ( just wasn't feeling like myself ) decided to clean up and look better again to my dismay after it being dead all that time i let it charge for an hour nothing except a dead green bolt. Not sure which of these steps worked as i made it to the tapping but it finally started to charge, thanks video man! hopefully it's back up to speed!

I tried all the steps but the one that worked for me was the freezer. I did it twice and then it worked. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video. It was my second attempt at the "15 minute deep freeze" that fixed my boot loop! Thank you! I had spent ages on trying to fis the problem and this was the only useful video I found out there!

Im here to state, that it does seem to work. I just kept doing some of this throughout the day, just in case it worked. And then suddenly it did. I was just kind of rocking it back and forth at the moment when I saw the apple logo stick for more than the 3 seconds it was doing before. It is not scientific enough to say what worked, but maybe movement or temperature made something inside the watch trigger, I was alternating between pressing the side button and both buttons. I would say, just keep going, and be positive.

I did all the steps, left the watch on the charger for about 15 minutes, and when I returned, the watch was on and functioning! Thank you so much for offering up suggestions other than the forced reset.

For ANYONE who is having these issues (including the red exclamation mark) you have GOT GOT GOT GOT GOT GOT to be patient when trying to fix it. My apple watch had a black screen (nothing) for DAYS. Then, it went to having a black screen to having a black screen with exclamation point on it a few times per day. THEN, it went from that to an exclamation point screen on 24/7. Thats when I started doing the rebooting process. I had to reboot about 10 times on the charger and each time the apple logo would stay on longer and longer between reboots. Finally, I took it off and put the watch on my wrist and rebooted (hoping having skin contact would help) and it booted up after 2 tries. This whole process took me about 2.5 - 3 weeks to get it working. So happy it did because I was JUST about to bite the bullet and buy a new apple watch. If you want piece of mind moving forward, buy Apple Care+ so you just know you're covered no matter what.

I had looked at two other videos before this one and they didn’t work. This video didn’t work work until my fifth attempt. My watch actually started up again during the “press press press” down part. Felt like I was giving my watch a Swedish message. Good luck with your watches. I learned my lesson about playing in the sand while having my watch on.
