What is COP26? and can it solve the climate crisis? In this KN Explains CBC Kids News contributor Caden Teneycke breaks down what COP26 has to do with solving the climate crisis and what it aims to accomplish.

COP26 — the 26th Conference of the Parties — officially kicked off on Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland.

World leaders will be there, like Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and American President Joe Biden.

Kids will also be there to put pressure on world leaders to help solve the climate crisis, like Canadians Sophia Mathur and Sadie Vipond.
