SpaceX Starship Catch

A follow up to the Super Heavy catch animation, this showcases Starship's ability to be caught by the chopsticks instead of relying on landing legs to touchdown.

A few minor mistakes I thought I might mention, the Chopsticks have a stabilizer that hinges to a second point on starship, and super heavy for that matter, to prevent it from any rotation. And also after rendering out the whole thing I saw that there is some shadow glitching on the base of the tower due to the smoke volumetric acting weird.

I take back what I said in the description of the super heavy video in regards to the type of uploads I will continue to do. I do plan on releasing more shorts like this. However, I have also started work on some larger projects, one of which should be released within the next week or so as long as everything goes to plan.

Sorry to anyone who thought this was the real thing. For my main audience it is implied that this is a 3d rendered animation as most of them keep up to date with what goes on in starbase so I don't usually feel obligated to put "animation" or something along those lines in the title unless I think it could be very clickbaity for my average viewer. For some reason, Youtube seems to have targeted this video at a different audience than usual who don't keep up with SpaceX day by day. I was on vacation for a little while when this blew up so I did not know that so many people thought this was real.

All that's left is for Spacex rocket stages to land on top of each other and instantly reassemble the entire rocket on landing.

Catching a landing Ship at two points directly underneath the forward flaps - piece-of-cake. I can't wait to see this!

A few suggestions to further improve it :
- Starship will be caught the other way around, this is because the fuel and power connection on the exterior of the ships cannot and are not on the side of the ship with heat shielding
- The flip will start almost immediately when engines start firing, as seen with test flights from ship serial number 8 to ship serial number 15
- The engine ignition is staggered, they don't exactly all light at once
- Only one engine is needed for the final seconds of the catching, unless the thrust from one of the raptor engines is insufficient, in which case two at low thrust will be kept for the catching

Catching the booster is the easy part. SpaceX has too much experience with the first stage. The real challenge will be to catch Starship accurately as shown in the video. The fireworks are not over yet!🔥🔥

One thought: insert a small delay on the sound of the engines right after they start for distance.

Misconceptions are common with new technology. Starship is designed for a propulsive landing, using its engines to slow down for touchdown. This eliminates the need for a massive catching structure and allows for reuse of the booster.

The ship, when coming in for the catch, needs to be rotated 180 degrees in the roll axis.
Otherwise, the SQD won't be able to connect.

I have a bad feeling is going to miss on first attempt, is either going to miss horizantal mark or not turn in time or a hard untimely catch. I hope it succeeds.
