Crazy how different things are in Canada/USA compared to Europe.
$600-$800 CAD (450-600 USD) is considered mid-tier in Europe. 1060 CAD is considered upper tier.

Just built a pc for my friend using a R5 3600 and RX 6600 on a B450 in my old case. Total came to under £400 (bear in mind I gave him a case, fans and CPU cooler). Edit: he paid for it lmao but I built it

I just built my first pc, i5, 3060. I'm loving the switch but wishing i would have held out to go a little higher end.

7900x with a 7900 xtx built a month ago and cost me $2300 all in. Maybe prebuilt that’s the price but build it yourself and you can save way more than even I did

It is very easy: buy literally the cheapest case available with an exhaust fan, buy a reliable psi and balls to the wall components

Mostly all second hand, xeon CPUs, no case, imported to Europe from the USA through family members coming to visit us, deal hunting on everything I need to get new.

I just built a 7900XTX PC for 2.3K USD (I live in the EU and in my country tech stuff is extra expensive). Really happy I got a high-end PC for a relatively okay price. (Going 4090 was never on the table cause I dislike Nvidia's market strategy and GPU price to performance). All I need right now is to upgrade my CPU down the line to a 13900K and get a DDR5 mobo with DDR5 ram. (I went with a 13600kf and DDR4 to save money on the build, I'll be okay to upgrade later and sell the 3 as a half-build later on)

Ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3060 is good for any game you throw at it at 1080p

High end you could do like 1400-1600 prob (4090) isn’t needed for “high end” btw 4090 is overkill asf for gaming anyways

In reality, it all depends on if you want to spend 100k to play a game thats not even out yet
