Laptop TouchPad Problem - Mouse Cursor Acting Weird, Jumping Around FIX

Most times this problem is caused by the charger, but maybe sometimes the problem will be caused by the driver, the battery, faulty touch pad etc.

I am using the original charger that came with the device and I still have the same problem. And, I have the same issue when the computer is working on battery.

It works! I've tried everything... updating drivers, reinstalling touchpad driver, removing battery, clicking f5-f7-f8-f9. Nothing worked. I would have never thought a faulty charger was the culprit. Thank you so much.

I had the same jumping cursor issue. I added a new charger to my house for 2 stations. The original charger works fine (no cursor problems.) When I use the cheap/crappy new charger I have the cursor issue...probably causing other problems as well.

if charger is higher amps than required it will make the mouse go bananas

turns out this morning I turned my X220 to airplane mode disabling the WIFI and curser stopped jumping and selecting

A 3yr old video saved a 3days old laptop! I just changed the poor extension cable in which the charger was plugged in!

I am using the original charger provided with laptop. and i have the same problem, and the cursor also start the jumping when didn't connect the charger also.

This didn't work with my touchpad's dancing movement. A simple touchpad driver reinstall in 2 seconds fixed it.

Sorry wrong info. It didn't work! My touchpad connection was clearly loose due to fall impact. I had to disassemble the laptop and reconnect it properly.

My mouse sometimes clicks by itself, moves by itself, and when im playing roblox it kinda gets annoying ive tried every video it still dosent work.

Sometimes it’s the out let so switch the charger to another out let I did it and it’s working perfectly
