I mean, I never have build any instruments before, so I don't blame anyone for not believing in me, but boy did I show them.

Considering all the issues it sounds like any old eukelele off a store shelf [cheap ones.] That said its sadly common for things off thingiverse to be designed without proper tolerances in mind HENCE fit up issues.

Tip when drilling plastic. Soapy water is a good lubricant and go slow. PLA generates TONS of friction [heat] so keep that in mind.

That aside welcome to YouTube and keep up the good work!

At first I was scared that u would start to sing and I would feel awkward but then when the singing started I was actually surprised at how good it was and nice to hear.

I just printed one of these for my daughter (in Sparta3D sparkle ABS+). I slightly modified the neck so that the undersides of the frets had a chamfer. I also replace the initials with my daughter's name inlaid using dual-color printing on my IDEX machine.
I didn't have any of the issues you described. The only problem I had was gluing the two neck parts. My first attempts with 5 min epoxy and the superglue (maybe too old?) failed. In the end I used DAP RapidFuse which has a plastic primer.

So I 3d print and have been learning Uke for a year or so. This is so freaking ridiculously cool. Gonna print one soon. Well done ;)

Tapping holes can be complicated. It’s good to familiarize yourself with a drill and tap chart and have a caliper. A bolt won’t thread a hole, and you don’t really want it to either unless it’s absolutely intended to cut threads with installation, you have to use a actual tap. Actually tapping is easy if it’s a thru hole just use your drill but if it bottoms out or “blind” than it’s better to use a tap wrench/handle but you could even 3d print that. If you don’t want to tap/thread than you can just use a nut on the other side or model a cleverly placed cavity to hold the nut

Solid sounding soprano and you can actually play and sing. Win/win/win.

Your music talent is impressive- I really thought you Faked it at first but then the outro! Very nice project I think it is cool you took something you already enjoyed and applied a 3d printer to it! And the "hi mom" video tag sorry for snooping but nice touch!

Cool, really like the video I’ll hopefully be printing one soon plus I would recommend getting an ice pick and a candle to melt the holes in the plastic

One time I was drilling 3mm holes into a 3D printed part, the PLA melts and felt the resistance of the drill bit is changing so I stop. The melted PLA filled in to the gullets of the drill bit, so when I restart the drill, this flimsy PLA part break my dill bit clean off!
