George Jones sang A GOOD YEAR FOR THE ROSES live on Navy Hoedown NH72-16. The record has an inscription: "11-20-71." I assume that's when it was played at a radio station. Hal Durham was the MC and THE JONES BOYS were the band. A GOOD YEAR FOR THE ROSES was written by Jerry Chesnut. It was released as a single by George Jones in Oct 1970 and would hit number 2 on the country chart.
