Jim Varney was not a one hit wonder by any means, and everybody already knows that he passed away because it was a damn tragedy that he died, he was a national treasure.

At least when Spartacus ended they acknowledged Andy Whitfield in the end credits. Kevin Smith as Ares was the highlight of Hercules and Xena.

I remember when Kevin Smith passed away. I was so sad about it. Xena was my favorite show and I loved Aries.

Aries DIED???!!! That IS depressing! Especially as he died so tragically. I loved his character, everyone on the fabulous Zenia show was so over the top! My husband had a terrible accident at work years ago, and almost died, and let me tell you, getting that phone call from the hospital is the most unreal and sickening sensation I've ever experienced. You want to scream, "This isn't happening! Wake me up!!!", but it's awful reality. My husband survived with surgeries and injuries that crippled him for life with pain, but he's still alive, and we are grateful beyond belief. I give my deepest sympathy to all who have lost loved ones without being able to even say goodbye...

Kevin Smith was one of the best actors from Hercules and Xena could have became a Hollywood heavyweight. Ernest man that hurt when he died scared stupid was my personal fav.

I loved Lorne on Angel.He was the best character on the show.

Dana Plato was fun to watch on Different Strokes. It was a tragedy to hear of her taking her life and then her son did the same thing. So sad.

Jim Varney was far more than a "one hit wonder". He was one of the most talented and grossly underrated comedic actors of our time. His Ernest character is one of the most iconic characters on television. He deserved far more recognition than he received.

I believe Andy Whitfield would have had a long, successful career if not for that damn cancer. Be Here Now is an amazing documentary about his family, career, diagnosis, management of his cancer and unfortunate death. It is absolutely worth watching whether you are familiar with this actor or not. Peace to him, his family, and anyone dealing with illness or loss.

I wouldn’t think Jim Varney would be considered a one-hit wonder. 🤔 He had a lot of movies, he was so funny and seemed so sweet.

Why in the world would they put that someone was evicted from their home in their obituary?! That is so sad. 😢

The actor of Ares from Zena - wow! I don't know how I forgot. I watched that as a teenager and I had a huge crush on him. He was great - so tragic. All of these are tragic.

I basically watched Xena to look at Kevin Smith. I loved that he could play the dastardly villain, and still have a comedic side!
