As it is Yom Kippur today. It´s a good day to start the fast, that can stop at Diwali in 18 days. I celebrated the Maa Kali version last year, like is done by the West-Bengals. It´s slightly different ans also beautiful, but I feel a bit more realistic, including the nasty things, to bring out the good.

Hanuman as monkey : Hanuman was a yogi, great devotee living with forest tribe and also a great warrior who was very fast so he is reoresented as monkey .
