The answer is 10. Not 10 percent but just 10. It's a ratio. You can convert the 10 into a percentage and get 1000% but the question doesn't ask you to give the answer as a percentage. The answer is just 10. If the question said 500m / 50m then the answer is still 10. A ratio.

A nice trick-question, Devi-ji. By definition, a% = (a/100), that's why
the "/" and the two little "₀" are there. So, 5% of 40 = (5/100)×40 = 2
and (500%)/(50%) = (500/100)/(50/100) = 10 = (1000/100) = 1000%.

The answer has all in % ages. Therefore it's imperative to convert the ratio back into %age format. Hence 10×100=1000%

500%=500/100=5
50%=50/100=0.5
So...
500% / 50% = 5/0.5 =10 = 1000%
Explanation:
500% of something means 5 times itself.
50% of something means a half of itself.
That's why 1000% in terms of percentage is equivalent to 10
because 1000% means 10 times something.

... In words 500%/50% means 500% per 50% is equal to a 1000% per 100% (proportional), so answer (D) is correct ...

That's right, a lot of her tricks don't work on all questions.

Dear LKLogic, thank you very much for your videos. If it is possible for you, please be so kind to increase number of % tasks, explanations. Around 70% of whole population can't calculate percentage :) and your videos will be helpful.
