Lack of training and lack of on going training is across the board. In a Firearms instructor and have trained local, county, state police and military. The vast majority have no idea how to handle their weapon, hold the gun and shoot accurately. Unless they are a gun guy and took it upon themselves to seek training outside of the department they just keep getting worse every year. We need to revamp the whole training process and make them do on going training.

We owe it to them and the people they are protecting

Directors need to be former military officers, or high ranking military personel who are immensely familiar with war conditions and can handle various occurrences that can happen with working with small weapons of war.
