Chapter 1 or bust, the fumes from chapter 1 were so insanely hot that even tho chapter 2 was lowkey trash, the wave of competitive streamers, old and rising from chapter 1 carried the game to where it is today. We all supplied ourselves with all the copium we could through season 2, wondering when epic would fix their game. But they never did, never making the audio better like it was in Chapter 1, they added 40+ updates comp players didnt care about, while ignoring comp (apart from siphon sometimes...) Which is why the fortnite player base saw a fat deep after chapter 1, and then a FAT drop off in player count during and after the end of season 2. Season 3 4 and 5 i couldnt even tell you what the map looks like. For OG fans, that black hole update going into chapter 2 was the most depressing thing of all time. Fortnite was peaking, so they ruined it with mechs, and then crushed it into the dirt by changing the game completely. It will never die. But only thanks to people like Ninja, Tfue, and SypherPK, who turned fortnite into the cult classic it is today.
