I didn’t plan to stay for the full video, but your last point was especially great. That paradox is what makes you uniquely you and why I took notice of your content. So few of us can be summarized so simply. Fight against the algorithm! 😊

We fostered to adopt 3 of our 7 children. Being that 2 of them were children of alcoholics, we chose not to have alcohol in our home. Then one day I went to have a drink (away from kids) and felt the Lord say put it down. Not for you. Done! Don't miss it. Don't need it. Saves money too!

Angela: I haven’t had any alcohol since 1981 and I have not missed it (or desired it) at all. Good for you for choosing to give it up😻

Living in the gain and not in the gap. This hit me hard. I'm turning 40 in Sept. Now I know I have to live in gratitude and be proud of myself and how far I've come with what I've achieved. God bless you Angela and thank you for enlightening us

I'm 72 and don't feel any older than I did when I was 40. I might move a little slower :), but still feel the same. Have a very Happy New Year!

I really enjoyed and felt a connection with your video today! At 65 I am trying to figure some things out about what I truly enjoy so that I can find moments of joy and success in my every day life. I’m a full time caregiver to my husband with Parkinsons, have 6 kids spread out over the U.S. with their families and I’m trying out how to best do my 4th quarter!! I’m still in great health physically, but struggling in other aspects. We have similar interests and ideas. You gave me some things to think about…thanks 😊

Great video. I just turned 70 2 days ago, and I DON'T feel old! Be good to yourself. Everything in moderation has always been motto.

My Dad has always said, "anticipation is better than realization" 😂 it's (most of the time) true!! It used to really bug me, but now that I'm older, I realize the wisdom behind it haha

Angela, you never disappoint... Seriously!! I just turned 40 in August and so many of my goals and thoughts are shifting as well. I definitely do not fit into a box either... My interests are varied, and I think of it as well balanced. 😊 So many points in this video really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing what's on your mind, my friend! I wish you all the best for 2024. 🎉❤

I'm turning 40 this year too! Something I tend to look for when seeking general wisdom is whether other generations are on board with a concept. I absolutely love that your content, including this video, is resonating with many age levels. ❤

Yay for 1984! I am turning 40 this year too. Going through a lot of the same thoughts. I’m one step ahead of you because I never had a single drink, but 3 steps behind because I’m in much worse physical shape😂 I have lots of work to do. Learning a lot from you. Thank you and happy new year! ❤

Thank you-love your videos. I am 62 work full-time as a paralegal. I have three grown children and two grandchildren. I went back to college at night and got my degree and paralegal certification when I was 42. Its never to late to start school! Looking forward to your videos for 2024! Happy New Years to all!

I’m a mesh of all things, I guess a Jill of all trades. Growing up on a farm and then living in urban areas for 20 years there’s a good blend of both worlds to be. Now that I’m back in the country building a farm with my family I am where I’m at my best.
Just because you’re on a farm raising animals and growing gardens doesn’t mean you should just forget about your appearance. For women we really need to feel pretty about ourselves and if putting on some makeup before cleaning out the chicken coop is what you wanna do, then go for it! 😊
Many blessings and Happy New Year, Linda

I’m totally with you against the algorithm! I love to sit in my chair and crochet all day long with classical piano music but also thinking about how long I have to train to start rock climbing and counting the days until the next metal concert 🤭😁

I’m 62 and i get on the floor and get up w/o holding on to anything!😳. Someone told me being able to do it is a good sign for mobility longevity. So far so good! Such a great video. Thank you for your thoughts.

love this! going off the "better story" -- i think it can be more than just choosing what story you want to make going forward, but also what story do you tell yourself. it is a very powerful exercise, in my experience, to examine the story that we are creating around the circumstances. for example, we don't know what people are actually thinking so we create stories to fill it in. This often leads to self-deprecating and limiting beliefs or assumptions about other people. it actually connects to your last point too!!
