So I just bit the nail and bought CP9 (upgraded) Had 32 bit plugs and installed 64bit version of all but a few because 64 isn't available yet and let me tell you i LOVE it! Cp9 is the most stable its been. Ever. I haven't had a crash yet and projects are loading faster. Thought i was a bad idea at first but now I see why. I also have 8.5 for my projects that require 32 bit support if needed.

I absolutely love this decision to go 64bit only. But I realise that I'm talking from a personal viewpoint. I DO understand that people have all these kvr/old plugins lying around that work good for them.

I've done a careful selection of the plugin base that I have. Bought waves, d16, refx, spectrasonics.. basicly the tier of 3d party developers who keep their plugins modern and up to date. I also keep cubase 8.5 if I really need to take care of projects that load obsolete plugins like slayer2, then I can just change their part and make a cubase 9 version of the song.

The big advantage of working with cubase 9 is that you really have to load plugins from vendors that clean house. And that benefits me. I can now load heavy projects and playback in 512 miliseconds instead of 1024. (it really matters if you have to play parts and not always have to switch latency modes).

Did I already say that it will force vendors to make their plugins clean ?

Why was the VST Bridge removed? I have a few plugins that don't have 64-bit versions, so I was relying on that feature for some of my VSTs

To anyone worried about this, keep in mind that it doesn't change anything if your plugins already behave like they should, and it actually makes it much easier to unblacklist plugins.

When a plug-in is blacklisted, is any reason given for why?
In the video, for example, the blocked plug-ins are 64-bit and VST3. One would expect those to work, especially as they're from a very reputable vendor.

I need 32bit plugins to finish my projects, I have activated Cubase 8.5. few days ago. Can I get C9 and C8.5 at once? Or I will be updated and no chance to run C8.5 ?

Wtf?? Why would you guys do that.. I still use my .32 but plugins. I was excited until I saw this..👎👎👎
