Love that you're spreading positivity! I use meditation to achieve true confidence in myself and not allow external circumstances to affect how I feel inside. It has taken months to get to where I'm at now, but I can say with 100% certainty that NOTHING phases me. Great video Emily!

Very timely! While it’s nice getting recognition from others, that should not be the main driving factor as it can lead to greater anxiety or at times disappointment. Setting personal goals, working at becoming more proficient & internally celebrating even the seemingly smallest of achievements is much more sustainable.

Learning to not need social facilitation can be an incredible power in our lives.
I do agree we should use it in some seniors.

If we ever want to create something for ourselves we have to learn to do without.

wait that totally explains why it was so much harder for me to play the bassoon in school band!!! the physical arousal for a hard task definitely contributed to why i performed poorly

This is 100% spot on. Proper preparation prevents poor performance. You more that you practice to be ready for the moment the more that the moment will not affect you. You will fall back on your good habits and they will take you where you want to be.

Anxiety (in any form) is repeatedly experiencing failure in advance, which is not a good state to be in. We definitely need that confidence and motivation to take more control to become the facilitators of our own lives 🖖

Confidence is so important. It can really go a long way. The difference between walking into an exam prepared vs. unprepared is huge. I can't handle not being prepared for things like interviews, meetings, etc. so I always make sure I put in the extra time. Thanks for sharing this Emily!!

I used to have a same feeling!
I used to practice my presentation for my school but when it came to the time of the presentation... it was like everything was lost and I just forget everything! or i knew what to say but couldn't say it the way i wanted!

I can relate so much to performing better with others around, but in my case it has always been sort of a ego thing, ops! What I mean is that I always wanted to show people how fricking awesome I was at the things I was doing, still happens and it's a pretty strong motivator but today I try to take motivation from a more sustainable source haha... Awesome video M.

This put a lot of my past performance into perspective lol. I love the group when I'm good at what I'm doing. It's that instant gratification of approval. Now if I feel nervous I understand it may be because I'm not confident in what I'm doing. This videos is just making me more focus at getting comfortable with the things I'm not good at and strive to be a little bit better.
