I was able to attend a couple of vintage markets and visit a few thrift stores this past summer and wanted to show you what treasures I found to bring home with me!

First, a disclaimer: So many of you have kindly offered to send me things, including vintage items you may have inherited, and I am so honored you would think of me and of course I do adore vintage treasures, however, unfortunately I only have so much storage space currently! So there is a chance that if something just wont work for me, or doesn't fit me etc, that I may not be able to keep all of your lovely things. Please only send things if you are okay with the possibility that I may donate items I just cannot keep. If you would prefer I put things that I can't keep into the TCH Etsy shop to help raise funds for me and the channel, please specify this in a note or letter in your parcel. Thank you so much!

I don't know if it's weird to say, but it's nice to see the casual side of your vintage wardrobe (since I recall in the past you've stated that you gravitate more towards formal-ish vintage, i.e. suiting, etc.). You rock both casual and formal really well! I personally have started collecting and wearing more vintage sportswear and leisurewear in the past year or two, for obvious reasons lol. I would love to see road trip themed lookbook or vintage packing list if you're up to it!!

Cliftons Handtooled Western Supply Company, started by Everett Clifton Wood and his wife Mattie, in 1955, established in Ardmore, Texas, and produced leather goods from 50s through to at least 70s. Purses like yours usually sell from $50, very sought after and collectable.

Great finds! I would definitely love to see the stuff you have sewn for your trip as a lookbook, it would be nice to get some ideas of what to pack while still dressing vintage. Maybe some tips for fabric types that pack well and don't require pressing and ways to pack to prevent wrinkles.

Cliftons made hand tooled leather goods (I have a wallet from the 60s) but they were big from 50s - late 70s!

But the thing I love about those purses is sound of the closing of the clasp.

I am not sure, my dear, as I could not see the logo clearly, but I believe that is a Clifton Heritage bag. The company has been around in one form or another for so long, I believe still going strong by means of cheap Australian leather and the strength of their own old designs.
