Here’s what’s really cool: Soon we will no longer have to put up with Hollywood’s tired, cliched stories! With text-to-video, video-to-video and the same technology already available for voices, regular people with creative talent and a head full of ideas, will be able to put together and publish gorgeous movies with original stories! I mean, wow… when they both look and sound professional.. we’re going to enter an entirely new era where not only big studios can produce beautifully-looking movies anymore. I don’t know about you guys, but as someone who’s been writing stories since forever, I’m truly excited about this!

Edit: Yes, obviously not every one can make a great movie. I thought that was clear enough, but judging from the comment section, nope. You still need talent and hard work. But this new technology is a tool. And in the hands of skilled people, amazing work can be done. It’s like how anyone can make videos now because everybody has a smartphone. There’s a lot of trash, but there are also some really cool things out there, that we never would have seen, if they had to go through the conventional process of a studio/TV network financing and putting them on.

"Santa throwing the gifts around" is taken figuratively: he definitely brought gifts.
"Stick figures fighting" is taken literally, the anime characters have sticks with which they fight.
AI is never forgetting to add things in the mix: it's mostly so that your cues are not specific enough.

I wish it would get better at ‘Image to Video’. I think it would be best to animate from images, rather than just creating a random video from a written prompt. At least with images I have control over how the character & scene will look. But if text is the only way I can instruct the AI on what I want, then it will just create something too random for my liking. That’s why I’m really hoping ‘Image to Video’ will improve, so we can have as much control as possible over what we create.

Your point about people scamming and not using the correct Pika website is interesting. I wonder if the technology itself will be used in future for scamming people with fake videos? With all these advances it seems impossible to stay ahead of the game sometimes.

I made an entire music video using Pika. It’s still not out yet but as with all AI tools, the moment it’s done some other tech will come out that will have made it easier, faster and better than last week’s available tools 😂
