We recently added 2 2024 H3-45s to the fleet, the biggest change IMO is the automatic unloading of tag axle when wheel is turned more than 1 revolution. This can be an issue if youre going in and out of a steep driveway, you can easily scrape, and could get stuck. You gotta tell your guys to hold the tag load button for at least 5 seconds until you see the "lock & load" telltale on the dash. If the tag axle isn't loaded, none of the coach raising functions will raise the rear suspension, since it's unloaded. Refrence the operator's manual for more info.

The fleet I've worked with have had the new Prevost H3-45 for almost a year, and drivers have been happy with the new H3-45, especially the small fans located at the emergency exit hatches that provide air circulation inside the bus.
The only problem we encountered was that the baggage compartment sensor occasionally incorrectly reported that the baggage compartment door was not locked, but this no longer happened after the Prevost agent replaced the sensor.
Today, there are four new H3-45s in the fleet, and over the next two years they will purchase nearly 26 new H3-45s to replace the aging Prevost in the fleet.
The 2025 Prevost Passenger Coach is rumored to offer a 500-horsepower Volvo D13 engine, making it the most powerful MotorCoach available in North America Markets.

Thanks for the memories. I retired with about 2 million collision-free miles under my butt with the majority driven in H3-45s.
The best thing ever introduced to highway coaches was cruise control.
My 28' motorhome got worse fuel economy than my motorcoach.
Amazingly beautiful coaches that come out of Quebec, Canada.

Great video James. Old school motor coach driver out of Long Island NY. I have driven MCI, Eagles, Van Hool, setra, Neoplan. I even drove a GMC Deck & 1/2 4 speed but the best was a brand new 2003 H3 45. That bus had a Detroit tt series 60. That bus was a rocket ship on ten wheels lol. I miss driving motor coach too. Had a lot of fun. All that in my 20’s and 30’s.

The company i work for has a few of the 2024 models. Most drivers dislike the new safety noises (3 beep = distance, seat vibrate + low rumble = maintain lane, red dash +scream = too close & auto brake). Traffic is horrible where your cut off every 2 seconds so the passengers are constantly hearing the bus yelling at you. Our 24 models also have a loud wind noise that comes from the main door area at speeds above 50mph that we have yet to find the source. Other than those issues the 24 models are a nice upgrade.

Thx James for the update and awesome video. I was a Motor Coach operator for 35 years. All I can say, is WOW ! I miss driving. God bless you and your family. Keep your videos coming. Please don't take so long between videos. Bye from New Jersey. 🇺🇸 enjoy your long weekend.

For when these coaches get up in age and some will be purchased by people who convert them to RVs, they will appreciate tacking care of the release for the engine door. That foot pedal release for the steering wheel, Freightliner used to use that on class 8 trucks more than 10 years ago. They switched to a hand release lever up a little higher. I prefer it that way. Thanks for the video. Great info. 😊

Thank you for showing this. I may be going to work for a company that has a fleet of these. I’m a 25yr CDL holder, but very green to buses/Motorcoach, only 6mo experience driving a city bus.
I learned a lot from this video!!

One tip on the engine doors to also relay to drivers, never pull the engine door by the red tail lights. They can be easily ripped off the door. Always use the actual frame of the door to open or close.

2023 H3-45 overheads: ✨very mindful, very demure✨
2024 H3-45 overheads: 💥crash bang 💥

Having been a former coach driver the first thing I see with the 2024 is that the entry looks much more like an MCI Renaissance coach entry with the spiral steps. Very appealing. With the overheads I know it would be a cost and time issue but could you install small rubbers “stoppers” to diminish the noise of them closing. Maybe an idea for Prevost for future coaches. Glad to see you back in the drivers seat. I enjoyed your china trip videos immensely. Thanks James. 😊

Another great video James! I was wondering if you were going to get around to make a Prevost video. The 2024 H is beautiful but those overhead doors would get on my nerves also and maybe they can do something about that noise behind the blinds? I hope you can make another H3-45 video and ask some drivers how they like the coach or not.

I’d be running a line of house door foam across the bottom of those “port rack” lids, as others have already said. Love it.

I own newer Volvo VNR semitrucks, the steering wheel, its adjustment controls and gauge cluster in the 24 H3 is a carbon copy from its truck brethren. A very nice touch and intuitive layout.
