Andy, that is so crazy!! You are such a great teacher and this isn't fair. There are tons of videos of people singing entire songs that you know they haven't asked permission for. I am so thankful to have found your online lessons. I hope this gets rectified. I like the idea of "guitar talk" and I'd love to beta test the app. That's making lemonade out of lemons!

I have just started learning the guitar and you are my first ‘teacher’ that I can connect with - still at the very early stage of perfecting E and D chords but would very much hope to be able to continue with you - I hope this will be sorted out - I find it very helpful to play along with you when you sing as you play, something I’d like to master eventually, good luck.

I'm glad you put this video out explaining what happened. I was just thinking last night that I hoped you would start the facebook streams again. It was far and away the most positive internet group I've ever been a part of. I've already seen more trolls on these youtube streams than I ever remember seeing on facebook. But of course, as always, they had to go and ruin something good. I've had my issues with facebook already (scanning your cookies and search history being the major one), so this might be the final straw for me to just close my account.

I feel your pain Andy. Copyright laws continue to confuse me. Even on YouTube it’s hard to understand. I’ve had guitar lessons that can’t be monetised but the video of me playing along with the actual track is monetised. Absolutely no continuity in the decision making.
People like yourself encourage people to listen to music through your videos. As one person has already said the music industry really is shooting itself in the foot.

Well, you'll always have my support, I've learned with you since the beginning of my playing and will keep up to date with you on Twitter and Instagram as well as here.

The group on your site is a great idea, and I think it will really come to life when the app is rolled out across both flagship platforms (iOS and Android), which I'll definitely be getting and certainly know I'll love!
